given price difference, what are main difference between Melco DigitizerPro, Brothers PE 7.0, Arista software, and Janome. It seems they all can accomodate the various formats. Are there specific features in each that the others can’t do. Also, how is Intellistitch which seems will take scanned formats and digitize them. Does the other software do this. I recently bought a used melco and brothers embroidery. But was wondering on making own designs. Any insigts greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info on the difference between pe design lite and 7.0. I am new to this embroidery machine stuff and was under the impression that the PE 700ll brother embroidery machine contained the needed software to download and create your own embroidery patterns. Unfortunately I found out I can use the usb port to download but have to buy the patterns. If I want to design my own I must purchase the pedesign 7.0 package plus the upgrade to the 8.0 version. I am not that computer savy and I am not sure I will know how to work this stuff. Not sure if I should keep my new pe 700ll machine? or upgrade to the singer futura that has this software and more built in. The only problem with the singer futura is that the reviews are not so hot on ease of use. Any comments of that subject?

What’s the difference between pe-design software and embird ?

I like the embird for the fact that you can split a design and embroidery only the part that I want to.

Can pe-design software do as well?

I have an entry level embroidery machine, and am just wondering if anyone has run both the lite and full version? Is it worth the money to upgrade to the full with an entry level machine? I just really want to be able to create my own images and embroider them. Is that possible with lite?

  6. Terry Jones says:

PE Design Lite can be upgraded to 7 correct? Then you would have everthing 7 has?
