Machine Embroidery has been a godsend for me when we moved to a new city. It’s been very difficult to meet new people as I had just retired before we moved. Once I found my Husqvarna dealer and attended classes on how to use my machine I met wonderful people and we get together and embroidery and support each other in all aspects of life. I am so very lucky to have my health, family, friends and maybe new designs. ha ha

Wow!!!! My needles would be in constant motion….I love MEing. Some of my projects go to hospitals for the kids pillows (we call them happy pillows) others for heart patients..and so many more. I make lots of gifts for family and friends.

Every day I am so very thankful for the wonderful family I have. I will be 72 years old in a few days and have been able to enjoy them and be involved in the things they do. I will be cooking Thanksgiving for 28 people this year. My children keep saying that they should be doing it, but while I am still healthy I will continue to keep our family together. Our whole family will be able to gather this Thanksgiving. What a wonderful blessing.

I am almost 70 years old and retired. Lost alot of my retirement income, but have chosen to be thankful for what I have left and enjoy the pleasures that are afforded. My husband always accuses me of being a Pollyanna and I don’t mind that. Would much rather look at the bright side of life.

Embroidery is a whole new world of fun for me! I can’t remember being so excited to make such cute and loving little things for the people I love. Everyone in my family has a personalized gift this year. The warm reception of the person receiving the gift just lights up my heart. I am thankful to be able to learn something new, wonderful and so unique. My husband lost his job almost a year ago, with no severence. I, fortunately still have a job although it was questionable for a while because of a merger the company was going through. While it’s been very difficult with the added stress, sewing and embroidery has been an important outlet for me this year more than ever. It helps me relax and retain a positive attitude. Even though it has been difficult on one income, I know others are suffering more than us. We have a lot to be thankful for this year, including our health and our family.

I am a quilter. My husband bought me a new Janome a few years back for our anniversary. I never thought I would be interested in embroidery, but found that the more I quilted, (having a really nice machine) the more interested I became in “adding a little embroidery” to my quilting projects. I am so thankful tonight to have the time to enjoy my passion of quilting and embroidery. It is such a relaxing thing for me. And I have to say, I have never had a problem with Sewforless. As a hand embroiderer who is teacheing her grands the art we are always on the lookout for new pattern. We have great fun trying to see if ours end up looking just like a machine embroidered one and some tomes we just get great ideas from looking at he great art created for machins. I hav e been doing machine embroidery for years now. I love to do this and it gives me a chance to have some time by myself, I as care for my husband 24/7 as he has alzheimer.
