Customer Reviews
WOW!!!
By Lisa
First of all I want to make it clear that I am not a professional digitizer. I do sew and sell my items and my desire to own a digitizing program was to turn some graphics I have into embroidery designs for my own use. I also didn't want to wait to have someone else do the digitizing and then there is the expense. I did demo another program and it did an okay job but there were things I just did not like in the stitch out. I decided to buy this program because I read a wonderful review written by a professional digitizer. I figured if he liked it then I would love it!
I bought my program from sewforless.com It was shipped for free but did go media mail so if you want it ASAP you may want to ask for an upgrade to priority or first class. My laptop is running Windows Vista and Buzz2stitches loaded flawlessly. This is my first program with a dongle so at first I really wasn't sure what it was and that is taking some getting use to. My first design was of the Chinese lettering for Princess. It was a very simple design and digitized flawlessly. I did a few other designs and they too did well. I tinker with graphic design so I made a couple of graphics to digitize and again they did very well. My last test was a photograph of one of our dogs and to my surprise it too was a usuable embroidery. I have not stitched out every design yet but the ones I did stitched out perfect. They definately look professionally done.
Now the cons and they are definately few. This works well with a simple, clean embroidery design. Anything very complicated and it didn't do well. It does have some editing capabilities but I have read to really do any kind of editing you need Buzz Edit. I haven't looked into this because right now for my use what I have is working for me. I will look into it in the future and will definately bring my business back to sewforless.com.
In a nutshell this is a wonderful program. I'm extremely happy with it's performance and I'm not the easiest person to please. The stitch outs have been better than many that I've purchased and I love having items with one of a kind designs. Great program and great service!!!
Very unhappy with it's performance

I use buzz word and buzz edit v2 and I like both of those products, so based on the favorable reviews I've read, I thought I'd try Buzz-2-Stitches. After reading the reviews, I knew I would not be able to create complex designs, but my intentions were to digitize text that I created in Photoshop and simple graphics. I was able to create one simple graphic into a useable 3 color design. Otherwise, it failed miserably. I was told to use 'GIF' files instead of JPEG, which helped some, but still only one or two of the text letters come out with satin stitching. The rest are fill stitching. It also liked to expand what it created, causing a capitol 'E' to look like a solid rectangle, a lower case 'e' to be filled in solidly, or crisp details to be lost. I emailed their help desk and tried the suggestions their help desk emailed me, but the suggestions didn't help much and they finally stopped responding.
I like buzz word and buzz edit, but buzz-2-stitches stinks! Don't buy it if you are looking for professional quality results.

I am sorry to say I am very disappointed with this product, I have buzz size, and buzzxplore and i am very happy with both but, I havent been able to make one single successfull conversion with buzz to stitches and i am using the most simple objects. I have thrown this dongle in my draw never to use it again
The program never did work right, dongle quit. had to return

I bought this thinking I'd be able to do a bit of digitizing. Had problems with it from day one. Dongle stopped working, called customer support, and they said it was my fault it stopped working. huh? they sent me another dongle, that one didn't work either. I never did get to find out what this can or can't do, as I ended up sending it back for a refund.
