This special embroidery needle has a titanium nitride ceramic coating.  This coating improves the neeedle wear in high stitch counts and allows for a sharper edge for increased penetration of coarse and densely woven materials.  Slightly rounded point for embroidery on most fabrics.  Enlarged eye.
